We’re making a difference!
The Montgomery County Jail Chaplaincy is an ecumenical ministry that has served the Montgomery County Jail since 1981. There are more than 40 different congregations represented by our over 100 volunteers. Our volunteers care for the spiritual and emotional needs of the inmates housed in Montgomery County Jail. We provide on-going training to our volunteers, who assist inmates in facing and dealing with religious concerns, isolation, grief, loneliness, addiction and steps to transforming their lives through GED study, domestic violence classes. Our one-on-one ministry of presence and showing the love of Christ through our bible studies and worship services gives hope to those incarcerated that God and our community has not forgotten them.
Our goal is to enhance the services and ministries that we are able to provide inmates at Montgomery County Jail. Won’t you join our efforts? If you are an electrician, plumber, construction worker, seamstress, cook, computer geek we need your help. Please contact Rev. Sylvia Moseley-Robinson at (937) 474-8770.
